RESEARCH & PLANNING

In our research for the UQ Advanced HCI course, we aim to delve into the intricate relationship between individuals and the creative environments they inhabit, be it in-person or at home. Our focus is to unravel the ways in which creativity flourishes through connections to creative places, spaces, and practices. To achieve this, we are keen on understanding how people interact with and respond to creative stimuli and works within the confines of their homes. Our investigation extends to examining the influence of these creative elements on individuals' sense of connectedness.

How do people creatively respond when connected to works of art from creative spaces?

  1. What might this mean for people’s connectedness to art and one another?

  2. How is creativity shaped through connection to these places and practices?

  3. How can we ensure people are not left behind and can continue their creative pursuits and stay connected to their creative communities online?

Cultural Probs Method

We initiated a six-day online cultural probe involving six diverse participants to gather initial data and delve into the intricate ways in which individuals' creativity not only defines their identity but also establishes connections to the realm of art
